Libby's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of South Carolina and a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kansas. Libby is trained to diagnose and treat a wide array of presenting problems.
Libby is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, The SCAMFT, the KAMFT, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She attended advanced training in Couples Therapy at the Gottman Institute in Seattle, WA. She has attended the Emotionally Focused Externship Training conducted by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy in 2011. In 2014, Libby completed Advanced Core Skills training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. She has been trained in Prepare/Enrich for Pre-Marital Counseling.
Libby is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering her services to individuals, couples and families in Bluffton, SC. Libby and her husband moved to Bluffton from Overland Park, KS in 2011.
Libby finds great pleasure and joy in helping her clients enjoy a more quality life experience both within themselves and in their relationships. Libby's greatest joys are her husband, her two children, and new grandbaby. Libby and her husband have two adult children who are top performers in their respective vocations.
Libby's hobbies include walking on the beach, quietly sitting and reading on the beach, kayaking the May River, traveling to remote Alaska and playing the flute.
